At first the thought of a long driving weekend with the 'rents seems boring and tiring... but not if you have a new project to knit while someone else does the driving (ok, it would have been fun even without the knitting). I finished one of my fingerless gloves and have just the tipless fingers to complete on the second one.
Yarn is Debbie Bliss Merino Aran. Pattern is Knitty's Fetching, modified to include half-fingers to keep them warmer. I only had to redo the index finger and thumb once! Just in time for fall so I can knit outside.

They look all soft and yummy! In the picture the thumb looks kinda funky. Everything go okay with that?
Cute, but what happened to the sideways knit Noro gloves? You fickle fickle woman you.
the thumb is OK. I think I need to increase 1 stitch for the other hand. I can show you in person... someday. =)
Those sideways knit Noros just p'ssed me off. I wanted to make something that I could actually USE for fall and not grumble about. I figure that I can always make another pair if (and when) I get the urge. Oh yeah - I'm fickle with knitting. and not with boyz. or friends. So just dig it.
